We installed crossbars and a cargo box onto a 2021 Subaru Forester Wilderness edition. The crossbars were manufactured by Yakima and are known as the the Timberline Kit, they attach to the vehicle by wrapping around the existing siderails. The cargo box was manufactured by Thule and is known as the Pulse Large, this box has 16 cubic feet of storage and can only open on the passenger side.
We installed crossbars, bike rack, and ski rack to this 2014 Subaru Crosstrek. All of the products that went onto this vehicle were manufactured by Yakima. The crossbars are called Timberline setup, they are made for vehicles with raised side rails and can support up to 165lbs. The bike rack is a Highroad and is made to carry one bike that can be locked onto the rack itself, this bike rack also locks to the crossbars. The ski rack is called FreshTrack 4, it is made to carry up to four pairs of skis. This installation was relatively easy and can be done with basic knowledge of tools and measurements.
We installed a 1.25 inch receiver hitch onto a 2014 Subaru WRX. This hitch was manufactured by Curt and has a tongue weight capacity of 200 lbs and gross trailer weight capacity of 2,000 lbs. This install was tedious dealing with an after market exhaust, it should be done by professionals.
Today we installed a receiver hitch on a 2019 Subaru Crosstrek. The hitch we found that would work best for this vehicle was manufactured by Curt, hitch #13382. This hitch's capacity is rated for 3,500 lbs gross trailer weight and 525 lbs tongue weight.
