2020 Toyota Tacoma - Canopy and Rack Installation - RSI SmartCap / Rhino Rack

Today we installed an RSI SmartCap on a 2020 Toyota Tacoma pickup.  Our customer was looking to mount his CVT Roof Top Tent and some accessories, so we set him up with a Rhino Rack Pioneer platform.  To easily mount and remove the platform, our shop installed Rhino Rack Accessory bars on top the the platform to mount the tent to.  This provides a little space for the tent cover to be attached to the base of the tent.  We made 4 aluminum brackets to mount the tent to the accessory bars, providing easier access to the tent's mounting hardware than the standard setup provides.

The platform shown is Rhino Rack's new 5 series Pioneer Platform.  These platforms are enhances with a more aerodynamic leading and trailing edge, easier to use mounting crossbars, and cable routing provision included.

Made from stainless steel, our RSI SmartCap systems are available for most modern trucks, and have a dynamic load rating (driving weight) of 300 lbs.  Availability of these caps is getting better every day, and most truck fitments can be shipped next day to our Bend, Oregon warehouse.
