2022 Mercedes Sprinter / Thor Tranquility - Rear Door Storage, Ladder, and Bike Racks - Owl Van

Our customer came in looking for a few solutions for storage on his Thor Tranquility camper van.  We needed to check a few boxes off.

1.      Increase enclosed storage capacity

2.      Carry two bikes, but not off of the hitch

3.      Provide access to the roof

4.      Carry a spare tire

Owl Van provides a solution to all of these requests through their Mercedes Sprinter hinge mount rear door program.  

1.      Explorer Ladder and Tire Carrier

2.      B2 Bike Carrier

3.      Monster Box

4.      2 x 1Up Bike Trays

In order to execute the installation, the rear doors are unbolted from their hinges and put back together, but no other modifications to the vehicle will need to be made.  The B2 Carrier on the passenger side will accommodate up to 200 lbs of gear loaded on it.  The Monster box weighs in at 65 lbs, so that will need to be taken into consideration.  If needed, the ladder/tire carrier can also accommodate additional storage boxes.
