We had a customer drop in today looking for a roof mount bike rack. He wanted the ability to carry bikes with an 'open drop out' front wheel attachment (traditional fork mount) and bikes with a thru axle front wheel attachment. He also needed to make sure the bike rack fit next to his Thule cargo box when mounted on his base rack.
Many traditional fork mount style bike racks can be adapted to carry thru axle bikes by purchasing a thru axle adapter. However, we steered him toward the The Kuat Trio, as it's 3 Way Mount-fits 9, 15, & 20 mm forks out of the box, and accommodates thru-axles.

Our customer really liked the functionality and sleek design of the Kuat Trio. As you can see in the pictures, there was plenty of room for this system next to his Thule cargo box.
