Today we installed cross bars on to a 2019 Mazda CX5. The crossbar setup we found that would work best for the vehicle is manufactured by Thule. The crossbars we used are AeroBlade Edge Flush Mount which have the feet connected to them using fit Kit 3160. These feet and crossbars have a weight capacity of 165 lbs on road. The AeroBlade crossbars have track mount capability for future accessory mounting.
A few weeks back we installed a Thule Hideaway Awning onto a 2017 Mercedes Sprinter. The Thule Hideaway Awning is just over 10 1/2 feet long and extends out 8ft with an easy to use crank operated system for opening and closing. To install the awning we added Thule's awning adapters into the vehicles existing factory track.
This week we installed Front and Rear bumpers from Aluminess onto a 2019 Mercedes Sprinter. These bumpers are fairly lightweight so there is no need to upgrade vehicle suspension to handle the weight capacity. The front bumper is equipped with cable winch compatibility. The rear bumper has two swing out box storage systems to allow rear access to vehicles rear doors. The box on the left is specifically made for holding extra gas cans which you can secure with a separate padlock. The box on the right gives you a bit more secure storage space with the integrated locking system built in, and above provides crossbars that allows a bike rack to be clamped on.
Yesterday we installed crossbars with ski and bikes racks onto a bed cover for a 2020 Chevy Silverado 1500 Trail Boss. The bed cover we used for this vehicle is the Retrax XR. This bed cover has channels that run along side the rail system that aloud the feet and crossbars to be attached. The bed covers weight capacity is rated for 500lbs and retracts into a cylinder that is closest to the cab. The crossbar setup we used is from Yakima using their Skyline feet and Jetstream crossbars that have channel mount capability. Attached to the crossbars is a Yakima FatCat 6 ski rack, this rack is made to carry up to 6 pairs of skis or 4 snowboards. Also attached to the crossbars is a Yakima HighRoad bike rack, this rack is made to carry one bike secured using a tire clamp platform.
